Questa administrator lists cleanup day, vigils and exercises; office closures noted

Village Administrator Karen Quintana Shannon told the council about a community cleanup day Oct. 25, a Red Ribbon Candle Vigil Oct. 30 at Peroviche Park, a Trunk O' Treat Nov. 1, a tabletop exercise Nov. 7, scheduled office closures and a Taos County request for 100 flags for a veterans cemetery opening.
Village Administrator Karen Quintana Shannon presented a series of community and administrative announcements at the Oct. 22 council meeting.
Shannon said a community cleanup day is scheduled for Oct. 25 and that the village office will be closed from 2–5 p.m. that day. She said the Red Ribbon Candle Vigil will be held Oct. 30 at Peroviche Park and the Village Trunk O' Treat will be Nov. 1. Shannon also noted a tabletop emergency exercise scheduled for Nov. 7 and that the office will be closed Nov. 11. Taos County requested use of 100 village flags for the opening ceremony of a new veterans memorial cemetery.
The announcements were presented as informational updates and did not require council action at the meeting.
