The Pick City Board of Equalization met April 17 to review property valuations and approved updated true-and-full values after a county sales-ratio analysis.
Mercer County Tax Director Jen Neumiller presented a four-year sales-ratio analysis showing a city ratio at 83 percent (the state target range is 90–100 percent). Neumiller said a clerical error was identified on the spread sheet for some true-and-full values and explained that concrete is assessed depending on size and purpose. She also said VanGuard will visit Pick City in June to perform property assessments.
Following discussion, Councilmember Brandon Reiser moved and Kel Westman seconded a motion to approve the true-and-full values for residential and commercial property, bringing the total assessed value to $21,572,200. The board also approved seven homestead application credits. The BOE adjourned at 1:18 p.m.
