On a separate agenda item, staff described a lot-consolidation plan submitted for Mount Nebo Apartments that had been included in the same PDF as the larger land-development plan but not filed as the required minor subdivision. Staff said the consolidation was an administrative oversight and recommended the commission forward a recommendation of approval to the board of supervisors, conditioned on engineers' comments in the review letter.
Committee member 2 moved the consolidation recommendation and committee member 4 seconded; the motion carried. The commission instructed staff to reference the most recent engineer's letter and to require the applicant to address all review comments before final approval by the supervisors.
Several items tied to conditional-use hearings and waivers (agenda items B and C) were tabled at the applicants' request until a formal board decision is issued. The commission noted waivers had been acted on at a prior meeting and agreed to remove duplicate action from the current agenda.
The meeting closed after public comments about recent storm damage and local recovery efforts. A motion to adjourn passed at the end of the session.
What happens next: the accepted care-home application will proceed through the standard review process; the Mount Nebo lot-consolidation recommendation and the tabled conditional-use matters will be considered by the board of supervisors at a future meeting.
