Bigfork trustees approve fall coaching staff, volunteers and $4,500 in Rotary donations

Trustee Carol Field moved to approve the consent agenda and Trustee Julie Kreiman seconded; the motion passed by a unanimous vote of trustees present. The consent agenda included consideration of the July 10 meeting minutes, bill approval lists, out-of-district students, authorization for records destruction per the district Records Retention Schedule, and district donations.
The minutes list donations from the Bigfork Rotary Foundation, Inc. of $1,500 each for cross country, wrestling and swim (total $4,500). The board also approved hiring recommendations for extra-curricular staff, naming coaches such as Heather Epperly and Emily Feller as co-head fall cheer coaches and multiple assistant coaches for football, volleyball and golf. The record states that any offer of employment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory criminal history background check and, for some positions, satisfactory pre-employment screening.
The consent agenda also approved volunteer lists for sports programs, including volunteers for cross country, high school football and golf. The board’s action clears staffing and volunteer authorizations ahead of the fall sports season.
