Select Board names new and returning members to Conservation Commission and other town bodies

The Select Board on July 14 interviewed several Conservation Commission candidates and approved multiple appointments and reappointments across town committees.
Laurie Ferreira (11 Hillside Drive) described experience working with the Conservation Commission during real‑estate transactions and said she wanted to contribute to the town after 26 years as a resident; Kathy Berrigan, an incumbent associate member, and Amy McKinnon and Carol Bestick also spoke to the board about their experience and interest.
After the interviews the board voted to approve reappointments and new members to the Conservation Commission and to renew multiple members on the Alternative Energy Committee, fence viewers, the Community Preservation Committee and the South Shore Recycling Cooperative. The board also approved a slate of election‑worker reappointments for one‑year terms and reappointed a recreation representative to the Harbor Committee.
Appointees were directed to contact the town clerk and staff to complete swearing‑in and onboarding.
