Attorney Mark Daniel, representing Kindy Academy, told trustees the applicant plans to present an application at an upcoming board meeting to convert nearly 100,000 square feet of vacant office space at 2275 Cabot Drive in the Corporate Lakes complex into a private school serving grades 4–12.
Daniel said the project would include science and engineering labs, makerspace facilities and shared athletic fields and that the applicant has retained engineers and an architect with prior experience converting office buildings to schools. He told the board the applicant intends to provide traffic studies and valuation information and asked trustees and staff to accept outreach and dialogue with neighbors to address concerns.
Manager Cook and trustees did not take action on the proposal during the July 20 meeting; the applicant said they expect to appear before the board at one or both of the next two meetings.
