The Village of Lisle Board voted July 20 to amend its fiscal-year 2026–27 compensation and staffing plan, eliminating the HR generalist position and creating an internal services manager role that will handle HR day-to-day functions, benefits administration, payroll and IT coordination.
Village Manager Cook said the change is part of an ongoing staff transition and that the ordinance includes restricted authority to make future administrative amendments to the plan as the organization realigns positions. "The newly created position provides for several day to day HR functions... and added responsibility over IT coordination and oversight," Cook said.
Trustees approved the ordinance on a roll call vote. Staff said additional adjustments to titles, classifications or headcount may follow as transitions continue, and the ordinance allows limited administrative changes to the staffing plan going forward.
