Wilber‑Clatonia board sets January retreat, schedules Americanism Committee meeting and defers audit approval

At its Nov. 17 meeting, the Wilber‑Clatonia Public Schools Board of Education set a board retreat for Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, arranged a Dec. 15 meeting for the Americanism Committee and deferred approval of the Annual District Audit until board members receive auditors’ packets.
The retreat was scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with administrators asked to arrive at noon. Mr. Petersen will check with NASB offices to see whether the retreat can be held there. The board named Laura Niles, Barry Young and Russ Schuerman to the Americanism Committee and set that committee to meet Monday, Dec. 15 at 6:00 p.m.
Board members heard a short video presentation from third grade about their Human Body unit and received routine administrative reports including K–5 and 6–12 building updates, activities/technology/transportation updates, and a SPED director report. The board also noted an upcoming NASB Education Conference and an SNC superintendent meeting.
The board scheduled its next regular meeting for Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
