Board President Tim Riechers called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and the board first approved consent items 6.1–6.5, which included the October 20, 2025 meeting minutes and financial reports listing a General Fund balance of $836,960.66, a Qualified Capital Purpose Undertaking Fund balance of $102,752.50 and a Depreciation Fund balance of $55,063. Chris Woerner moved to approve the consent items and Laura Niles seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
On personnel business the board approved hiring Janet Young as a local substitute and accepted the resignation of Michelle Slezak, a PK afternoon paraprofessional. Bradley Kalkwarf moved the motion and Russ Schuerman seconded; the motion passed with Barry Young recorded as abstaining with a conflict.
The board approved an agricultural land lease after discussion. Russ Schuerman moved the motion and Chris Woerner seconded; the vote was unanimous.
The board authorized purchase of a replacement high‑school generator to be paid from the Depreciation Fund. Bradley Kalkwarf moved the generator purchase motion, seconded by Barry Young; the motion passed unanimously.
On labor‑relations matters the board approved a certification election to allow the WCEA to be the certified representative for the positions of Teacher, Guidance Counselor, Librarian and Elementary Interventionist. The motion was made by Russ Schuerman, seconded by Laura Niles, and passed. The board also approved changes to the Master Contract negotiated between the board negotiations committee and WCEA representatives; Laura Niles moved for approval, Chris Woerner seconded, and the motion passed.
No final action was taken on the Annual District Audit; board members decided to wait to act until audit packets arrive. The meeting record shows routine administrative reports and informational items but no additional formal board actions that affect implementation timelines.
