Council approves water-line extension terms and amended travel per diem rates

BRIDGER — At its Oct. 7 meeting the Bridger Town Council approved two amended resolutions: Resolution #297, which sets terms of compliance with § 28-118 for a water-line extension to the Debruycker property, and Resolution #298, which establishes travel per diem rates and the meal-rate component requested by the clerk.
During discussion of Resolution #297, the council debated whether a shop or barn structure should be included in the resolution’s scope. The council adopted an amendment adding that structure and then passed the amended resolution. Councilman Ryan Carson moved the amended resolution and Councilman Doug Asbury seconded; the motion carried with Carson, Cullum and Asbury voting aye.
On Resolution #298, Clerk Kirstin Sweet asked the council to set meal rates to complete the resolution. The council amended the resolution to set those meal rates per the clerk’s request; Councilman Ryan Carson moved passage, Councilwoman Shala Cullum seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
Why it matters: Resolution #297 clarifies terms for a water-line extension from 2646 US Highway 310 to the Debruycker Property under § 28-118, including the amendment to cover an associated shop/barn.
