The Bozeman School District board used the Dec. 9 meeting to formally recognize multiple state-champion teams and all-state athletes from Bozeman High and Gallatin High.
Trustee Moran moved a resolution honoring the 2024 Gallatin High girls cross-country team and the Bozeman High boys team; the motion passed 8–0. Trustee Dee then moved a resolution recognizing the 2024 Bozeman High girls soccer state champions and naming All-State individuals; that motion also passed 8–0. Later in the meeting Trustee Lucine moved a resolution recognizing the 2024 Gallatin High volleyball state champions; that motion passed unanimously.
Coaches and players were introduced and several coaches provided season summaries and individual statistics. Bozeman coach Erica described the girls soccer program’s back-to-back state titles and presented team statistics including an undefeated record cited for the season and low goals-against totals. "We were undefeated this season with a record of 15–0–2," Coach Erica said when introducing the Bozeman roster. Gallatin coaches and athletes also spoke about their program successes across cross-country, volleyball and soccer.
All recognition resolutions were moved, seconded and approved on voice vote with no public comment. Trustees invited teams and coaches to take photographs in the hall after the meeting.
What’s next: teams will be honored with photo opportunities and the board’s resolutions will be included in the meeting record.
