The board heard the budget as an informational item during its July 30 regular meeting at the RHS Krivokapich Media Center. Superintendent Kristie Medina told trustees the district expects gym HVAC work to finish Aug. 12 and that hardwood gym floors at the high school and middle school are scheduled to be sanded and waxed in November.
Medina said the district attended a Public School Capital Outlay Council meeting in Santa Fe and is awaiting a memorandum of understanding from the state before issuing a request for proposals for an architect; once the RFP is issued she estimated design would take roughly 12 to 18 months.
Baird's presentation was part of the meeting's informational items; no formal motion to adopt or amend the FY25 budget is recorded in the meeting minutes presented at the meeting.
