Ramah Water & Sanitation District operator Flint Tietjen reported to the board on Feb. 10 that an inspector from Ground Water Monitoring inspected the district's wastewater treatment plant on Feb. 6 and requested a follow-up meeting by Zoom.
Tietjen said he will "check into the purchase of ammonia control supplement to treat the wastewater treatment plant" and that work remaining on DOT project L600262 is minimal. The board did not take a formal vote on treatment purchases during the meeting.
Board Chairman Robert Montague and other members heard the operator's update during the operators report portion of the agenda and did not object to staff pursuing the Zoom meeting with the inspector. No cost estimate for the ammonia-control supplement was provided during the meeting; procurement rules discussed elsewhere on the agenda indicate larger purchases may require a purchase order.
