Mount Vernon board tables Knox County ESE "true up" and approves other contracts, including Tri County Medicaid billing

During the business-services section, the chair asked that the Knox County ESE true-up be tabled to allow staff to invite a Knox County representative and obtain a breakdown of costs. A board member moved to table the true-up and the motion was seconded and carried by roll call.
The board then considered items 2 through 5. The Superintendent said the district relies on third-party providers for specialized services and noted the Tri County ESE arrangement handles Medicaid billing that brings in roughly $3.4 million annually. The board moved and approved the Saint Vincent speech therapy contract, the station break agreement, the Tri County ESE Medicaid contract, and a facility-reuse request for a charity softball game benefiting a Mount Vernon police officer battling cancer.
