Chairwoman Amie Ernst said the Village of Greenfield Council met in special session on June 19, 2026, and unanimously adopted Resolution No. 6-2026, amending Resolution No. 1-2026 to authorize and direct the mayor to dispose of obsolete municipal property and declaring an emergency.
Vice-Chairman David Weaks provided the first reading of the resolution. Chairwoman Ernst moved to receive the reading; Councilwoman Margaret Mobley seconded and the motion carried by a 3-0 vote (Ernst, Mobley, Weaks).
The council then voted to suspend the rule requiring three readings so the matter could be considered immediately. Vice-Chairman Weaks moved to suspend the three-reading rule; Councilwoman Mobley seconded, and the motion passed 3-0.
After suspension of the rule, Chairwoman Ernst moved to adopt Resolution No. 6-2026 adopting the amendment to Resolution No. 1-2026 and declaring an emergency so the measure could take effect immediately. Vice-Chairman Weaks seconded. The council voted 3-0 to adopt the resolution as an emergency. The recorded affirmative votes were Vice-Chairman David Weaks, Chairwoman Amie Ernst and Councilwoman Margaret Mobley.
