The Mesilla Planning, Zoning and Historical Appropriateness Commission on March 17 unanimously approved several minor property requests and closed its meeting after staff announcements.
The commission approved a pergola at 2310 Avenida de Mesilla (PZHAC Case #061964). CED Eddie Salazar said a right-of-entry form required by code was already on file from a previous approval, and that structures are allowed to the zero-lot line in the Historical Commercial zone provided fire-resistant materials are used and stormwater/runoff is managed; a gutter and French-drain-type system were discussed pending NM CID review.
The commission also approved two small residential maintenance items at 2808 Snow Rd. (cases #061966 and #061967): permission to repair a crack in a stucco wall and to replace a door. All three items passed on unanimous votes.
In commissioners’ comments, Salazar said he will circulate a document summarizing Robert's Rules of Order and asked who was interested in NM League training in Taos; Chair Walkinshaw asked about scheduling an in-house PZHAC training session on April 7 at 5 p.m. The meeting adjourned after a procedural motion passed unanimously.
