Town board liaison reports clerk resignation; transfer station open for storm debris through July 31

At the July 20, 2026 meeting of the Town of Victor Zoning Board of Appeals, Alexis Sogra — a member of the Town of Victor board and the zoning board’s liaison — updated the board on two town matters: the town clerk’s resignation and a temporary transfer-station policy following a recent storm.
Sogra said the town clerk has resigned and that, while the clerk’s office remains open, there have been some operational changes while the town seeks a replacement. She asked residents to check the town board’s Facebook page for updates and for services they might otherwise seek in person at town hall.
Sogra also announced that, after the weekend storm, the transfer station will accept brush and tree debris without a transfer-station permit through July 31 for all town residents. “The transfer station will be open to all residents of the town of Victor for brush and tree debris only, without a permit,” she said. Sogra added that town highway staff will pick up brush left along town roads only; state and county roads are excluded from that pickup.
A board member asked why Sogra was the liaison to two organizations that meet at the same time; she explained she has been the liaison to the village and that she will split attendance between meetings as needed.
Sogra’s announcements provide short-term operational guidance for residents affected by the storm and notify the public about temporary changes while the town fills the clerk position.
