The Caribou County Board of Commissioners approved the county’s Fiscal Year 2025 financial audit after a presentation from County Auditor Dana Izatt.
Izatt told the board the audit showed that none of the major funds exceeded their budgets, most funds have steady or increasing cash balances and he highlighted the county’s pension liability and federal-award expenditures. "The audit results show good financial health across major funds," Izatt said.
Commissioner Marty McCullough moved to approve the FY2025 financial audit and Commissioner Bryce Somsen seconded the motion; the board approved the audit. Izatt said that once the board’s acceptance is complete he will work with Clerk Jill Stoor to upload required information to the federal transparency system.
The audit will be available for public review in the clerk’s office and on the county website. The decision concludes the county’s annual financial reporting and sets the material for any federal reporting tied to grant expenditures and awards.
