Council Vice President Mark Stecak reported on Nov. 19 that borough crews have been televising sewer lines and have discovered two fully collapsed sewer lines. He said the borough is waiting for the engineer’s recommendations on how to proceed with repairs.
During the same agenda item council voted to advertise the sale of a 2000 bucket truck (motion by Dave Kowalski, second by Meghan DeVerse) and to advertise the sale of a scissor lift (motion by DeVerse, second by Angelo Norelli). Both motions were recorded Yes 6, No 0, Absent 1.
Stecak did not provide repair cost estimates during the meeting; council members stated they will act on the engineer’s recommendations after they are received. No construction contracts or timelines were authorized at the meeting.
