The board noted a shoreland stabilization application for 13 Sunset Drive Loop (Map 4B Lot 32‑A) involving 112 feet of shoreline work and replacement of stone stairs; staff said related paperwork and the map are on file for review.
On bylaws, the board agreed to use the municipal association’s model as a starting point. A board volunteer will create a mock-up bylaws draft incorporating earlier hand-marked edits; members agreed to circulate the draft for review and to avoid substantive bylaw discussion by email.
The chair relayed guidance that site visits are becoming less common and warned that individual, unannounced visits by board members can create illegal quorum discussions. "Site visits just give them a visual of the property, but we're not the professionals determining water quality or soil the way you can," the chair said, advising the board any site visit should be noticed and done together with the applicant’s awareness.
The board recorded follow-ups for the next meeting, including the bylaws draft and returning the right-of-way reconstruction item after legal review.
