Hilliard council approves water infrastructure repairs, meter purchase and several vendor contracts

Public Works Director Cory Hobbs told the council the existing effluent meter is 20 years old and had reached the end of its useful life; council approved a capital purchase of $8,196.00 for a 10" Ultra Mag electromagnetic flow meter (Model uM510). Hobbs also described an emergency repair that required relocation of a 6-inch water line under West Third Avenue; the council ratified capital expenditures totaling $53,626.16 for that work under the town's procurement policy.
On the consent side, the council approved several vendor payments and project invoices: Barrett Supply Services, LLC for $7,129.51 (WTP master meter replacement); CPH Engineering for $1,440.00 (MH 167 and MH 170 repairs); Lylam, LLC dba Facility's Constructors for $26,462.20 (construct box hangar at Hilliard Airpark; FDOT PTGA grant-funded); Peters & Yaffee Engineering / LJA Engineering for $9,661.17 (Design West Sixth Street); and TB Landmark Construction for $78,036.80 (MH 167 and MH 170 repairs). Each payment and contract motion passed with recorded yea votes.
Council discussion included the procurement policy approval of emergency repairs and confirmation that developer funding will cover certain design amendment costs on related projects. The council took formal votes to approve each item and recorded the motions and yea votes in the minutes.
