The Hilliard Town Council on March 5 approved the town's Public Works director recommendation to award the right-of-way mowing, weed-eating and trash-cleanup contract to North Florida Lawn Maintenance, Inc.
Public Works Director Cory Hobbs presented the recommendation and described the contract scope as eight service cycles per contract year, beginning April 13, 2026 and continuing through the final cycle in 2028. Councilman Jared Wollitz moved to approve the award; Councilman Joe Michaels seconded and the council recorded yea votes from Council President Kenny Sims, Council Pro Tem Lee Pickett, Councilman Wollitz and Councilman Michaels.
Council staff will complete contract execution and manage the schedule of mowing cycles under the awarded contract.
