What the commission approved:
- Resolution 2026‑R‑3: Authorizes an agreement with Paul Culver Construction to remove and dispose of roughly 140 linear feet of damaged pier sections submerged in the Halifax River and install city‑provided prefabricated dock sections and LED bollard lights at Riverside Park Pier. The resolution was read by title only and approved unanimously.
- Resolution 2026‑R‑4: Increases the annual not‑to‑exceed amount for electrical repairs with Economy Electric (wastewater, water and facilities divisions) from $50,000 to $65,000; approved unanimously.
- Resolution 2026‑R‑5: Awards contracts to Inliner Solutions for cleaning, TV inspection and lining of sanitary sewer mains ($162,972) and stormwater sewer pipes ($212,440) and approves a budget amendment ($29,713.86); approved unanimously.
- Resolution 2026‑R‑6: Authorizes change order No. 5 with Saw Cross Inc. in the amount read at the meeting; approved unanimously.
- Ordinance 3095 (first reading): The commission approved on first reading an amendment to the Marina Grande PUD to add permitted retail and professional uses at 235 Riverside Drive and added specific prohibitions (rental moving‑company trucks and pharmacies). Staff will return with clarified language for second reading.
- Appointment: The commission appointed Joshua Steele (identified in the meeting as the city’s Senior Planner) to the Volusia Growth Management Commission.
