Dawson County board approves transmittal of annual Capital Improvements Element update

The Dawson County Board of Commissioners voted 4-0 Aug. 1 to approve transmittal of the Draft Annual Capital Improvements Element update after a staff presentation.
Planning & Development Director Sharon Farrell reviewed the transmittal resolution and noted the item was before the board for a single hearing. Chairman Billy Thurmond opened the hearing for public comment, received none and closed the hearing.
Commissioner Emory Dooley moved to approve the transmittal resolution; Commissioner Chris Gaines seconded. The motion passed 4-0.
The transmittal forwards the county’s capital improvements update consistent with local planning processes; the board recorded no further direction to staff at the Aug. 1 session.
