Webb. "I'm requesting the lien be reduced from $381,600 down to 5% of the original lien to $19,080 plus the administrative cost," Joe said, noting the total amount due would be $21,627.82 and that the buyer supports the arrangement.
An audience member, Mike Servo, asked about the lot and whether the property is large; commissioners described the property as residential and in poor condition. Mayor John Penny commented, "It's a mess," during discussion of the property's condition.
The motion to approve the reduction, with the property to be brought into compliance within 90 days (corrected to a compliance date of 06/30/2026), was made from the dais and seconded; the commission approved the motion unanimously.
The reduction is intended to allow the sale to proceed with a binding requirement that the buyer complete repairs and satisfy the reduced lien by the stated compliance date.
