Councilman Dallis Hunter made the motion to proceed and Council President Kenny Sims seconded; the motion carried with Council President Sims, Council Pro Tem Lee Pickett, Councilman Jared Wollitz and Councilman Dallis Hunter voting yes and Councilman Joe Michaels recorded as abstaining.
Town Attorney Christian Waugh explained the legal process for selling municipally owned property and answered procedural questions. Council President Kenny Sims questioned John H. Latshaw Jr. of New Leaf Communities, LLC about the house on the Mikkelsen parcel; the parties agreed the purchase contract will specify that the house is to be auctioned rather than transferred intact as part of the sale.
