The Board of Supervisors of the Heritage Pines Community Development District voted unanimously April 15 to adopt Resolution 2025‑03 approving a proposed Operation & Maintenance budget for fiscal year 2025/2026 and to set a public hearing on the proposal for July 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Heritage Pines Country Club meeting room.
District Manager Chuck Adams said the proposed FY2026 budget is similar to the current year and “the net effect is a reduction of approximately $4,000 in appropriations compared to Fiscal Year 2025.” He added that the Operation & Maintenance assessment is projected to decrease by $2.88 per unit year‑over‑year.
The motion to adopt Resolution 2025‑03 was made by Arthur Rhodes and seconded by Carol Vaughan and passed “with all in favor,” recorded in the minutes as a unanimous vote by the five supervisors present. The resolution also directs transmittal, posting and publication as required by Florida law and establishes the July 15 public hearing date and location.
At the same meeting the board approved other routine governance items: Resolution 2025‑04 designating the regular meeting schedule for FY2025/2026 and Resolution 2025‑05 approving an updated Florida Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement. The board also accepted the unaudited financial statements as of Feb. 28, 2025, which Mr. Adams said show 94% of revenue collected with one month remaining; interest earnings on investments were not yet reflected in the statements and will be emailed to supervisors when posted.
The meeting minutes for Feb. 18, 2025, were approved as amended, with attendee additions and several textual edits documented in the April 15 minutes. The board closed the business portion of the meeting without further budget votes; the public hearing on July 15 is the next formal opportunity for final action on the FY2026 budget.
What comes next: The board will hold the advertised public hearing on July 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.; any final adoption of the FY2026 budget will follow that hearing.
