Des Peres identifies suspect, seeks warrants after June 13 shooting at West County Center

Chief Eric Hall told the commission that on Saturday, June 13, crews responded to an altercation at West County Center in which two groups became involved and two subjects displayed firearms.
"One subject fled to the Ballas parking garage, and we believe [that person] recognized a vehicle associated with the other group and fired shots at the vehicle," Hall said. He reported that, fortunately, no people were struck but vehicles were damaged.
Hall said the suspect boarded a westbound bus on Manchester Road, exited near Manchester Road and Highway 141, and officers searched the area but did not immediately locate the person. Through follow-up investigation the subject has been identified and the department is attempting to locate him; at-large warrants are being applied for with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's office.
No formal charges or arrests were reported at the June 15 meeting. Chief Hall did not provide the suspect's name at the meeting; investigators continue to seek leads.
