Pittsfield commission flags paratransit ramp problems as BRTA adjusts service

Commission materials and discussion indicated those adjustments do not affect paratransit service, but members raised a separate operational concern: drivers are having difficulty operating the new paratransit-van ramps because of the ramp elevation, which can make it difficult to get clients into the vehicle. The commission said staff is investigating how to resolve the issue.
The commission also noted a June 10 disability advisory committee meeting related to transportation matters. No change to paratransit service was announced at the meeting.
