Commission approves two‑lot resubdivision at 89 Commercial Boulevard

The Torrington Planning and Zoning Commission voted July 15 to approve a two‑lot resubdivision for property at 89 Commercial Boulevard (assessor’s map 135, block 001, lot 007). Owner/applicant Alan Borghese told the commission the properties were previously two lots that had been combined in 2012; the current request restores the two‑lot configuration with minor adjustments.

City planner Jeremy Leifer reviewed the submitted plan and recommended waivers for full site development plan, construction plan, sediment and erosion control plan and stormwater management plan under section 3.5 of the subdivision regulations because the resulting lots are previously developed and no new development is proposed. Conditions of approval include submission of final paper and mylar maps with the engineer’s stamp and chairman’s signature box, filing of tax assessor map/block/lot numbers as assigned by the assessor, and any conditional modifications noted in the planner’s memo. The commission moved, seconded and voted to approve the resubdivision with the listed conditions.
