Premier Lakes reports lower compressor noise at Masters Lake; audit finds improved lake maintenance

Bill Kurth of Premier Lakes told the Board that the lakes, preserves and dry retention areas are in good condition overall but seasonal algae has been observed and plantings are scheduled. He said a cabinet installed around the Masters Lake compressor reduced the measured sound level from 64 to 52 decibels and described the reduction as acceptable.
Operations Manager Shane Willis, who conducted the lake audit, said the remaining issue is "not so much about the decibels but it is the tone of the aerator," and the Board discussed potentially moving the compressor and easement constraints. Mr. Willis reported the annual quality assurance audit for lake maintenance and dry retention showed high water levels this season, the audit will be done earlier next year, and there were no compliance issues overall; he said lakes have improved considerably since Premier Lakes began maintenance.
The Board paused planting in Lake E4-A until an agreement is reached with the Edgewater Association; staff will resubmit the planting proposal after coordination. Mr. Kurth said he will coordinate with Mr. Willis and Alex Kurth about moving the compressor and report findings at the next meeting; Mr. Kurth left the call after his report.
