Trappe approves reimbursable grant agreement with Little League for Home Run Baker Park softball field

Trappe — The Trappe Town Council unanimously approved a reimbursable grant agreement on Jan. 7 with the Little League for Home Run Baker Park’s softball field.
Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan told the council the Talbot County Council had approved and signed the joint-use agreement for the park. Ryan said the town additionally needs to enter a reimbursable grant agreement with the Little League that specifies responsibilities for administration and disbursement of grant funds. Nick Newnam, identified as president of the Little League, told council members the league has reviewed the agreement and is ready to proceed.
President Newnam moved to approve the reimbursable grant agreement; Commissioner Chase seconded the motion, and the council voted unanimously to approve the agreement.
Next steps: Town staff will execute the agreement and proceed with grant administration and joint-use responsibilities as outlined in the contract.
