Spirit of Community Commission elects Bosma chair, Chollett vice-chair

The Delano Spirit of Community Commission unanimously elected Katie Bosma as chair and Cindi Chollett as vice-chair at its March 10 meeting.
Michelle Dirckx nominated Bosma for chair after declining a nomination herself; Dirckx then moved the motion that was seconded by Linda Althoff. The commission recorded an 8-0 unanimous vote to approve Bosma and Chollett. "On a motion by Dirckx, and seconded by Althoff, the commission voted unanimously to approve Bosma as chair and Chollett as vice-chair," the minutes state.
The commission also approved the Feb. 10 meeting minutes with two corrections: fixing the spelling of Chollett’s last name and marking Jade Erickson as technically absent because she was nominated to complete a resigning commissioner’s term. That motion, moved by Dirckx and seconded by Chollett, passed unanimously.
The leadership votes take effect for the commission’s work on community events and outreach during the coming year. The commission adjourned at approximately 8:30 p.m.
