The Stratmoor Hills Water District Board on Feb. 19 approved a renewal of the augmentation-water agreement with Mulehaven Ltd., authorizing delivery of 10 acre‑feet of augmentation water to replace irrigation depletions tied to the Mule Train of Al Kaly Shrine.
District Manager Kirk Medina said the agreement has been used for 15–20 years and is renewed every five years. Director Cindy Dent asked about compensation; Medina said the water is typically donated. He estimated the value of the 10 acre‑feet at approximately $1,800. Vice‑President James Pesicka moved to approve the Stratmoor Hills Water, Security Water and Mulehaven Ltd. agreement; Secretary/Treasurer John Willcox seconded and the board approved it unanimously, 5‑0.
The renewal continues a long-standing arrangement to provide augmentation water for the Mulehaven property. No additional financial appropriation was specified at the meeting.
