Board President Lettie McKinney called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. After routine business, the board approved the consent agenda (minutes and claims) and then approved the 2025–26 school calendar on a 6‑0 vote.
Later in the meeting the board voted 6‑0 to approve coaching contracts for Deniese Barber and Frank Garcia as assistant junior-high track coaches. The board also accepted the resignation of Kylee Sipes from her SCES teaching position for the 2025–26 school year; the motion to accept the resignation passed unanimously.
The approved actions followed standard motions and seconds recorded in the minutes: Bret Kendrick moved to approve the calendar, Paige German seconded; Chantry moved to approve the consent agenda and later moved the coaching contracts; Paige moved to accept the teacher resignation and Rhett Seyb seconded that motion.
The meeting closed with a board request for improved timing of school delay and closure notifications for parents. The meeting adjourned at 9:12 p.m.
