Council approves small donations and grants and adopts FY2027 budget calendar

Each ordinance was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The council also voted to accept the proposed FY2026–27 budget calendar: department heads will prepare budgets for review, staff will present a recommended budget to council on May 5 and a public hearing is scheduled for May 19, with a proposed adoption on June 2 and a latest adoption date of June 30. Finance staff reported fiscal year‑to‑date receipts for December 2025 at around $11.8 million and year‑to‑date expenditures near $9.5 million, leaving a positive variance of about $2.2 million.
