Comcast pitches Xfinity expansion to Sayreville, seeks right‑of‑way agreement

Mayor (speaker 1) and council members asked for a public information session; the mayor suggested an August presentation at the adult activity center and the council agreed to coordinate the date with the business administrator. Clifton said Comcast’s team would provide pricing tiers, product details (including Internet Essentials at $14.95/month for qualifying households) and construction plans in follow‑up meetings with municipal staff.
No formal agreement was executed at the meeting; the council designated the borough business administrator as the point of contact and requested Comcast provide the map and street list to the administrator and the borough attorney for review before any formal right‑of‑way agreement is prepared.
