Riverview council approves consent agenda: police vehicle, pavement contract, investment report; library commissioner reappointed

At its July 20 meeting the Riverview City Council approved several routine but substantive consent items and a commission reappointment.
The council approved the purchase of a new 2026 Ford Explorer utility police vehicle. It also waived bidding and authorized execution of a pavement rehabilitation and subgrade stabilization agreement for Park East from Sibley Road up to the cul-de-sac with TriStar Stab Tech for $29,000 plus a 10% contingency of $2,900, for a total of $31,900; the contractor will rehabilitate the cul-de-sac pavement at its own cost (approximately $3,000) and the council authorized engineering fees not to exceed $2,100 for contract administration and inspection, subject to city-attorney approval.
Council also filed and accepted the attached investment report showing estimated and actual revenues and expenditures for the city review period ending 06/30/2026.
In a separate motion the council reappointed George Purdue to a regular five-year term on the City Library Commission, with the term set to expire 07/31/2031. All motions passed on roll call with those present voting yes.
