Fire chief reports 152 runs in June, details response times and inspections

"For the month of June 2026, we had 89 medical runs, 63 fire related runs for a total of 152 runs," Chief Eli said. He reported 22 overlapping runs (14.47% overlap), a reported fire loss of $4,500 for the month, and dispatch-to-arrival times averaging about 5 minutes 14 seconds. The department reported an average on-scene time of 24 minutes 50 seconds and logged 1,021 monthly training hours.
Chief Eli also summarized prevention and code-enforcement activity: 31 fire prevention inspections, 271 code enforcement cases opened, five community outreach programs, and 620 adult and 150 child contacts. He noted supporting documentation was included in the packet provided to council members and offered to answer questions; no substantive follow-up direction was recorded during the public portion of the meeting.
The report was received by the council with no further action taken at that time.
