The Southborough Board of Library Trustees voted to authorize all current trustees to sign payable batches and approved promotions for two library employees during their regular meeting.
Trustees voted to update the library's signature authorization form so that every current member may sign off on payable batches for the town accounting department, the chair said. The director explained trustees must come to his office to sign the updated form; once signed it will be forwarded to accounting for processing.
The board also accepted the library director's personnel recommendations to promote Anastasia Kuleniskova from part-time library technician to part-time library associate and to promote Jackson Harris to the same rank. The chair moved both promotions; trustees seconded and approved the motions.
The director said Kuleniskova will start at Grade 2, Step 8 on the library's salary schedule. Trustees did not provide additional details on the salary amounts in the meeting.
Jackson Harris, present in the audience after his promotion, thanked the trustees and said he recently graduated from Bentley University and plans to apply to law school next year. "I just want to say thanks for voting positively for me; I'm excited for the next year or so," Harris said.
The board did not record dissent on either motion and the chair announced the actions had passed. Trustees said they will physically sign the authorization update at the director's office so accounting can complete the record-keeping.
The next regular trustees meeting is scheduled for Aug. 10 at 11 a.m.
