The board also approved a list of donations over $1,000, including Glomar Products ($5,000) and Pam Ware ($4,000) to Anderson County High School football; one board member said he would abstain from a vote because of his relationship to a donor.
Contract renewal: The board approved a three-year renewal with Johnson Controls for districtwide alarm services at $19,713 per year; administration noted the prior three-year contract was $17,998.
Superintendent recognitions and safety update: Superintendent (speaker 3) congratulated recent athletic winners and presented regional and state recognitions for student teams and individuals, including naming a state wrestling champion, Corbin Nance, and introduced the Robert V. Turner Elementary academic team for regional wins.
