The Port Richey City events committee on March 9 finalized language and layout for the Mayor’s Ball sponsorship packet, confirmed online ticketing and will begin outreach to potential sponsors and VIP invitees.
Committee members agreed to present ticket pricing as $125 per person and $900 for a table of eight, and to note a “save $100” incentive for table purchases. The group reviewed the online ticketing flow on Zeffy (QR code links to the event page), agreed to collect buyer phone numbers for follow-up and will use will-call and QR check-in at the door.
"Your participation ensures that Tunnel Towers will continue to impact lives in our community," the committee’s confirmation email text reads, highlighting the beneficiary of the event. Vice Chairwoman Caroline Gonzales led formatting suggestions for the flyer and urged simpler ticket wording so buyers can quickly identify pricing and what comes with each level.
The committee compiled a long VIP invitation list that includes state and county constitutional officers, neighboring-city officials, and local law enforcement and first-responder chiefs; members debated whether invitees should receive complimentary plus-ones and settled on limiting internal plus-ones to avoid duplicative comped tickets. The committee also agreed to provide a city-employee discount — roughly $25 off the public price, producing an employee ticket of about $100.
On logistics, staff will swap in the finalized graphic before wide distribution and then share the Zeffy link across the mayor’s and city social pages and local news contacts. The Zeffy setup discussed includes required buyer information, seat-by-seat name and meal-selection fields, automatic inventory updates as individual tickets and table seats sell, and a default 15% voluntary processing tip option that purchasers can change.
Members discussed sponsorship outreach priorities, including the pursuit of a presenting sponsor and mid-tier business sponsors; they also outlined fundraising plans that include live auction items and raffle baskets. The committee briefly reviewed décor and entertainment concepts reflecting a New York / Statue of Liberty motif and assigned follow-ups to contact vendors and photographers.
A finance note near the end of the meeting recorded an erroneous charge to the events account (employee dinner was charged to the event). After reconciliation, the chair said the committee’s working balance stands at $1,150 and that further adjustments will be tracked as sponsorships and ticket sales are entered.
The committee approved the meeting minutes from March 9, 2026, by voice vote and adjourned following the business.
