Glenburn council approves special‑meeting warrant, renews snow‑plow contract and OKs equipment sales

The Glenburn Town Council on Sept. 12 unanimously approved a series of routine actions, including signing the warrant for a Sept. 26 special town meeting, accepting an extended snow‑plow contract with D.P. Morrissey and approving the sale of an old first‑responder vehicle to the Town of Milford for $4,500.
Councilor John Caruso moved to sign the special‑meeting warrant and Councilor Maurice Day seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Town staff presented a finalized extended snow‑plow contract with D.P. Morrissey; Day moved to accept and Caruso seconded, and the council approved the contract unanimously.
Town Manager Mr. McClung told the council that the Town of Milford offered $4,500 for the town's old first‑responder vehicle and recommended accepting the offer while keeping the vehicle in service. Councilor John Caruso moved to approve the sale and Councilor Maurice Day seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Council also authorized disposal of an older fire engine pump and a generator that had been replaced and were no longer of use to the town. Caruso moved to allow the Town Manager to dispose of the equipment; Councilor Frank Roma seconded. That motion passed unanimously.
The council considered warrant articles provided by UTC for the Nov. 5 election but UTC did not have the articles ready; Councilor John Caruso moved to table the item until the next meeting and Councilor Maurice Day seconded. That motion also passed unanimously.
