At the end of the calendar Board staff and members discussed whether confidential lease material shown during the office-tower appeal must be redacted or withheld before the county posts the hearing video.
The chair noted the hearing was public and flagged that certain terms had been reviewed in the county office under confidentiality covenants. A staff member said she would "bring it to the county attorney's office" for guidance on whether the video could be posted as-is, should be withheld, or could be edited to remove confidential segments.
Staff explained the production process for posting videos (production department converts and uploads recordings) and warned that internal policy and FOIA considerations could complicate editing. The chair said the board might recall the meeting or otherwise take procedural steps depending on the attorney's guidance.
County staff said they had previously allowed confidential documents to be reviewed in county offices when consents were obtained, and agreed to follow up with formal guidance from the county attorney before the video is posted.
