Boulder to revisit childcare contract; utility and public‑works budget presentation set for June 13

City Administrator Brian Bullock told the council on June 8 that the draft budget includes proposed funding for Southwest Montana Youth Partners and the Animal Shelter and Care Committee to support childcare services in Boulder and the animal shelter. The Council did not approve a contract or funding commitment at the workshop and decided to revisit the childcare building contract at a future City Council meeting.
The council was also advised that the City Administrator, City Clerk/Treasurer Rosemary Perna and Public Works Director Dennis Wortman will present proposed budgets for water, sewer, roads and streets, parks and cemetery at a follow‑up session on Monday, June 13 at 5:00 p.m. Those presentations will provide the next level of detail on capital and operating needs for utilities and public works ahead of the final budget adoption process.
No formal funding decisions for the childcare facility or the two community organizations were recorded in the workshop minutes; the council’s direction was to review the contract and budget figures at a future meeting before taking action.
