Vallivue board approves contracts, academies expansion bids and 2025–26 calendar

At its Feb. 11 meeting the Vallivue School District Board approved a series of routine operational items, including contract renewals for the superintendent and district administrators, the acceptance of expansion bid packages for Vallivue Academy and the 2025–26 school calendar.
Superintendent Lisa Boyd asked the board to renew her contract for one additional year (to a total of two); Trustee Jennifer Cox moved and Trustee Amy Johnson seconded the motion, which passed 4–0. The board also approved one‑year renewals for Assistant Superintendent Joey Palmer and several district office directors (Janae Graff, Dalelyn Allen, Chanda Zucker, Shane Carson and Annie Deming) by unanimous votes.
The board approved bid packages for the Vallivue Academy expansion after a brief presentation by Superintendent Boyd and a report from Bryce Parker of Beniton Construction that the district’s two elementary projects and the food service warehouse are on track. Annie Deming presented the proposed 2025–26 calendar, which the board approved 4–0 after brief discussion.
Superintendent Boyd requested 3.5 additional full‑time equivalents for secondary schools; the board approved the 3.5 FTEs on a motion by Trustee Jennifer Cox, seconded by Trustee Amy Johnson (4–0). Assistant Superintendent Joey Palmer also reviewed a set of policies, including Title IX grievance procedures and student conduct policies; the board adjourned at 7:06 p.m.
The meeting’s consent agenda included bills and summaries totaling $11,077,679.82 and multiple resignations and new‑hire listings that were approved as presented.
