The Norfolk Board of Finance on July 14 set a schedule for teacher contract negotiations to begin Aug. 11, 2026.
Chair M. Sconyers relayed the start date and said he will review upcoming town obligations with the First Selectman and meet with Superintendent Kevin Case before negotiations. Under public comment, John DeShazo and representatives of the Board of Education indicated they look forward to meeting with the Board of Finance and proceeding with negotiations at Botelle.
No formal negotiations occurred at the meeting; the Board moved on to other agenda items and adjourned at 7:45 p.m. The Board will convene the negotiation process on the date announced or as otherwise scheduled by town leadership.
