The River Ridge Community Development District Board accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman (Seat 1, term expires Nov. 2026) at its Aug. 27 meeting.
Mrs. Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter and, on a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly, the Board accepted the resignation. The Board noted the vacancy will be filled by appointment (not election) to serve the unexpired term. Staff said they will e-blast residents in The Meadows and include the POA manager in outreach, outline candidate qualification requirements, and ask interested residents to submit a resume or letter of interest before the next meeting.
The Board also noted standard onboarding items for any appointee, including administration of the oath of office, required ethics training, Form 1 filing, and other disclosure/administrative forms; those items were deferred to a future package for the incoming appointee.
