Green Lake board approves monthly bills, mobile‑home licenses and $30,000 transfer; maintenance report includes repaired gas leak

The Town of Green Lake board approved routine monthly actions at its April 13 meeting, including bills, minutes and a Treasurer’s report that authorized a $30,000 transfer to the general fund to cover payment of bills.

On motions recorded in the minutes, Berndt moved to approve the agenda (seconded by Moderow), Moderow moved to approve the March 9 minutes (seconded by Berndt), Berndt moved to approve vouchers and bills (seconded by Strelow), and the board approved the Treasurer’s report and a transfer of $30,000 (motion by Berndt, seconded by Moderow). The minutes record each motion as "Motion carried." The board also approved annual mobile‑home‑park licenses for Shady Oaks and South Shore Terrace on a motion by Moderow with Strelow seconding.

Maintenance report: Dan, maintenance staff, reported recent road checks and that the town is obtaining bids for chip sealing; the county will provide an estimate for crack filling on several named road stretches (Prairie, south of Miller Road to Highway 44, North Kearly, McAfee and others). Oakwood Beach Road, Circle Drive and Kahl Road were swept, with driveway‑entrance blowing planned; branches were trimmed on Lakeview and Tuleta Hill Road and larger limbs will be collected when the ground firms. Town cemeteries and the Town Hall lawn were treated by TruGreen. The county has not yet sprayed ditches due to weather. Piers were placed on Little Green Lake and at Horner's. Dan also reported a gas leak was detected at the shop gas meter on April 11 and that the leak was repaired at no cost to the town; gas service to the shop was restored Friday afternoon and the Town Hall was not affected.
