Eric Marshall, staff member for the Kearney Park Department, told the board that five bids were submitted for fitness equipment at Hall Park and that staff identified Cunningham Recreation as the lowest and best bidder at $138,443.
Marshall said the department expects to request contract additions later and plans to send a bid request for a general contractor. He said staff hopes the project can be completed by the end of 2026.
The board did not take a separate formal vote on the contract award during the meeting; Marshall presented the bid results as part of regular park updates. The item remains subject to subsequent procurement and contracting steps.
